A client of mine, Laine Wagenseller (who also happens to be a great real estate lawyer) turned me onto the site aboutfacemedia.com.  These guys produce corporate documentaries which I think may be a fabulous marketing tool for some of you.

I'm personally looking into it.  It is worth a look-see.

Check out this video of Gary Vaynerchuck. What's this guys personal brand?  Dorky? Weird? Cheesy? Doesn't matter because he is a personal brand sensation across the web.  He's also been on major network TV and in the many of the major publications across the country.

Do you think he is the most knowledgeable guy on wine? I bet not.  But what he does have is a very specific personal brand that sells.  And he has figured out a way to mass market it.  No time to be jealous just figure out how to do the same.

Maybe a little risk in their somewhere. No?

Want Your Name to Pop Up First on Google?

This company is a client of mine.  They've created a website akin to MySpace.com for professionals.  There's no cheesy pictures or dialogue involved.  Just you presented in the light you want people to see you in should they google your name.

But here's the best part and why it's such an awesome idea.  Anybody can create a virtual business card. What makes g5webspot.com so awesome is that they know how to work you into the web so that you come up at or near the top on a search of your name.  Type in your name on google right now.  What number are you and do you like what comes up?

So, it's a no brainer for those people whose name already comes up at or near the top of a google search(e.g. you want to be sure that what others see first is what you most want them to know about you).  And it's a no brainer for people like me who have a common name (Tim O'Brien) and are buried at #10,000 plus when you search for your name.
